July 17th Notes and Tips:
Breakfast: The selection size was between our Best Western breakfast and Vischio. My brother says American food, especially scrambled eggs are better at Tokyuu REI Hotel. I think the food was fine. We were in a bit of a rush since we got up at 9:50 and got there at 9:54ish. Breakfast closes at 10. I would recommend that you don't leave things for the last minute.
Pokemon center in Osaka At the Umeda Station: If you are a Pokemon fan and/or you are looking for cute stuffed animals, go there and buy some Pokemon plushies because the quality is really good. I won't lie that it isn't cheap. The number of Pokemon to choose from and some come with outfits are huge in terms of a selection. The sizes of the Pokemon vary. Be aware ,as a foreigner who has to go through customs, to choose small light stuff. Some of these Pokemon plushies are sold exclusively in Japan. There are life size pokeball with plush Pokemon in it so if you want to feel like a Pokemon trainer either cosplaying and/or just being a complete goofball and I would recommend getting it. This Pokemon Center has all of generations 1 and 2 and has a lot of the other gen Pokemon as well.
Ramen museum: The place has absolutely zero English translations. The museum is free. Most importantly go spend 300 yen = 3 US dollars to customize your ramen. Creating your own ramen makes the museum a bunch of fun! Having said that, there isn't much aside from that. Ippudo is a Ramen place very close to the ramen museum. My brother and I went there for lunch. The ramen is very good. It is worth going and the quantity is just right. Everything was perfectly cooked. A Mexican coke is offered there. Buy it because it is rare to find a real one in the US.
Dontonburi: It is a district within Osaka. My brother and I went there tonight and have no regrets. It is beautiful at night. It reminded my brother of Time Square. There was a really good place for meat on skewers which I mentioned in a different post. My brother and I bought pork, chicken, and beef ones and they were spectacular. We also went to a cafe and Dining place. The service was slow, but the food was good. They weren't clear on what was being offered tonight and learned that the hard way. Pictures of the food are below this post. We went on a ferris wheel for 600 yen a person/$6 per person. It is a really good deal because the views from the sky are amazing. Because it was enclosed, it was safe to take pictures and videos of the city without worrying about losing your device. I would take advantage of it because it is that spectacular. Make sure the flash setting on your device is off when shooting photos because it ruins the picture. Even when you are on the ground level, take pictures and shoot video as well. The night is the best time to go. There is a picture of a guy running on a billboard so take some pictures of that.
General advice: Listen to music in between activities because it will help you relax a bit depending on the music. Take notes and pictures of your hotel/hostel rooms because they may differ from country to country. On that note, take note about the culture in general as well.
Closing Message: I hope you all enjoyed reading the tips and notes about the day 7 experience during my Japan 2019 trip! I look forward to you all reading the next blog! Have a great day!
