Tips/Notes for July 16:
Capsule Hotel: There was a shade is used to provide privacy, but it is not soundproof. The bed feels like you are sleeping on memory foam. The comforter was just right in terms of warmth. You must be quiet in the sleeping areas, but it is quite quiet in every place you go to. The ladder doesn't have any rails if your room is on the upper level. There are capsules on the bottom of the floor and capsules on the top/upper levels of the floor. My brother and I both had top capsules. I found the pillow to be just fine. I will say it is hard, but soft at the same time. In the capsule hotel we stayed in we were given 1000 yen each for Starbucks. You are given a bag which contains towels, tooth brush, toothpaste, and pajamas. All but the tooth brush and toothpaste must be returned as well as your room key which has a QR code and the key that holds your shoes which is a separate locker. You are required to wear slippers while in the capsule hotel. Check out was simple. Return everything to the receptionist.

Starbucks: For breakfast, My brother and I went to Starbucks seeing how we were given a gift card there. My brother ordered a coffee, cinnamon roll, and a sugar donut. I ordered a green tea matcha frappuccino with whipped cream on top, an earl grey tea donut, and a green tea biscuit. Both my brother and I loved the cinnamon roll. He was raving about it and ate the whole thing quite easily. It was sweet, fluffy, airy, vanilla, and light. Both donuts were good. They were made with whole grain flour. My brother didn't like it nearly as much as I did. I thought the donut was cake-like, smooth texture, sweet, and tasted like earl grey. My brother thought his coffee was fine. There was nothing wrong, but not great. I loved my green tea frappuccino :) It was sweet with green tea flavor. It reminded me greatly of Peet's Green Tea Matcha Javiva in America. By the way, that is a good coffee shop if you want to have an alternative to Starbucks and/or Dunkin Donuts. I was honestly disappointed with the green tea biscuit. It had no sweetness, was hard, and it tasted like green tea leaves.
Our ride to Osaka: Coins and paper are required if you don't have a card specifically for the company to get your ticket. It only cost 400 yen = 4 US dollars each for a speedy trip. We went on the Hankyu Kyoto Main Line. It was cheap which was good.
The Aquarium: My brother and I went to the aquarium in Osaka. The entry fee to get into the aquarium costs 2300 yen if you are 16 years old or older per person. That is about 23 dollars. I am not sure whether that is expensive or not. I thought the sea animals were amazing, especially the rock climbing crabs, the seahorses, otters, eels, and so forth. I liked how the aquarium was very kid friendly so it was great to be able to read things in Japanese and be able to understand most of it which only applies to kid section parts and a little in the adult/teen section. There were a lot more things in English so you'd be able to learn more obviously if you can read English and understand it. Signs are very nice and well organized. Weirdly enough, there was indeed something called a trash can and a recycling bin at the aquarium. A part of the subway to the aquarium costs 230 yen ($2.30). Getting there could be a little bit complicated though. The Seesaw drink bar in the aquarium only accepts cash.
The curry place that my brother and I had in Tokyo also had one in Osaka. We went there for dinner. My brother loves curry. I had a hamburger curry and it was a little spicy for me, but I am not much of a spice person for food. We both got small ones which are half the size of a regular one.
7/11: My brother got a KitKat bar, which had a dark chocolate coating. It was different, but I liked it. I got some sugar cookies. I liked it because it reminded me of the chessmen cookies in America. This was for dessert. It also accepts credit cards as well.
Tips for fast food chains: The chicken nuggets taste different from America. Burgers and beverages are the same.
General tips: Always have a fully charged battery pack because battery life isn't as good in Japan than in the US. It is important to know where you are going. Check whether your destination is open. My brother and I went to the ramen museum and it was closed that day. Leave enough time to get to and from places as well as knowing how much time you want to stay at your destination as well. Always have a plan on a meet up area in case you get lost for whatever reason, which only applies if you are traveling with more than yourself. Have time to recharge and do not try to do too much in one day. My brother and I have been sticking to one to two major activities and relaxing in between. Rushing to places all the time takes the enjoyment of appreciating the country/moments. I would recommend that you have a journal that keeps your activities, thoughts/opinions, and recommendations. You never know whether you'll need them. I enjoy being able to record what I do in English and Japanese. All of my recommendations/Notes for this trip were requested. Nonetheless, it is a good souvenir.
Closing Message: I hope you all enjoyed reading the tips and notes about the day 6 experience during my Japan 2019 trip! I look forward to you all reading the next blog! Have a great day!
