Where to Find the Best Value Dining Options in Your City

Hi Folks! I hope you are doing well. This blog is about my favorite budget friendly restaurant. It covers what it is, who it is for, its pros and cons, and ends with a closing message. This is not an actual advertisement for the restaurant because it closed down years ago unless it was a chain, but I do not know about that. Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts and experiences. I hope you enjoy it a lot.

Favorite Restaurant: Ken’s Ramen: Ken’s Ramen was a specialized ramen restaurant located in Providence, Rhode Island. It was very popular when it was open and was my favorite budget friendly restaurant. Unfortunately, it closed in 2018 or 2019. It served what I believe was the best ramen on the East Coast. It was so good that even my skeptical friend was blown away. We were so impressed that we gave a 25% tip, and from that day forward, my friend never questioned how great real ramen could be.

Background: I attended Bryant University when I was a freshman in college in fall 2015. A group of people I used to hang out with brought me there. I tried the ramen and it was absolutely amazing. The ramen was homemade, including the noodles, and you could watch the process. As a broke college student, I did not want to spend much money on food, but I went anyway and never regretted it. After leaving Bryant, I always brought my friends there whenever I visited. The ramen cost about $10 a bowl. It was always popular, and there was rarely a time when it was not busy.

Audience: This restaurant was perfect for ramen lovers on a budget. It was especially tailored to college students, with nearby schools such as Bryant, Brown, and the University of Rhode Island. It was a great choice for anyone craving authentic Japanese food without spending too much.

Pros: As a ramen focused restaurant, its greatest strength was quality. Everything was made in house, from the broth to the noodles, and everything was fresh. It was inexpensive, making it a great option for students and others on a budget. The service was excellent, and I really liked the layout of the restaurant, which had a bar style seating arrangement. The portion sizes were just right, not too big and not too small.

Cons: Unfortunately, there were no dessert options. I always wished there was something sweet to finish the meal, as it would have made a complete dining experience. Because it was always busy, it could get a bit loud, but that was good for their business. It was cash only, which was inconvenient for credit and debit card users. As a ramen specialized restaurant, the menu had limited options, and the space was quite small.

Closing Message: I hope you enjoyed reading this blog. I truly wish Ken’s Ramen would come back someday because it was that amazing. If it ever reopened, I would absolutely visit again. Whenever I think of Ken’s Ramen, I think of my college days and all the great memories there. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to sharing more blogs with you soon. Have a great day!
