Opening message: Hi folks! I hope you are doing well! This review talks about a video game called “Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of Elusive Age”. Disclaimer: I am not sponsored by them and this is based on my experience and thoughts when I did play the game. I hope you enjoy the review and that it helps you decide whether you want to pick up the game.
What is it?: It is a video game that can be played on other game consoles. I use the Nintendo Switch version. It is about a character called the Luminary/Hero who goes out to save the world. He is responsible for gathering allies to help him on his journey.

Why did I want it?: I really like turn-based games and this one got a great reputation. In addition it had a twinge of elements like Pokemon.
Pros: This has great graphics that you can choose to play in 2D or 3D. The characters including the side characters are well developed in the story. You can choose to play it in Japanese and/or English or a combination. I forget whether there were other languages since I did not write this in 2020 when I played the game. I like how developed the villains are as well and that there are nuances as well to their characters. There are more than enough missions. There is flexibility in how you want to develop a character’s power. Everything was well thought out.
Cons: My biggest issue with this game is not being able to save whenever. I find that extremely annoying especially when I have to go through a difficult puzzle to get there. The puzzles can be challenging. Although more people would like that than me. It is a little bit too long but it is better than too short since this is a 60 dollar game. I am fortunate that I had the pandemic at the time that I played the game, but if I did not, it would take a very long time to get through. Although the majority of people would see this as a positive in terms of getting their money’s worth.
Would I play it again from scratch?: If the game wasn’t as long, yes. If this is your first time playing, I would absolutely say yes. I think the pros outweigh the cons. I would absolutely recommend this game to everyone because a lot of things are done very well in terms of storytelling, character development, and graphics. For me, I like to preserve the games that I play already overall.
Audience: I would say a gamer should absolutely try this. Age group wise, teenagers because the game is rated mature. However, I think you can get away with it once you hit 15 years old or maybe even 14 years old because of the questionable clothing choice.
Closing message: I hope that you enjoyed this review for the Dragon Quest 11 game! I look forward to you all reading the next one. Have a wonderful day!
